About me
I’m Anna Everts (they/them), a 28-year-old neurodivergent, non-binary freelance writer and sensitivity reader from the Netherlands. I’m also an Actual Play performer and a general jack of all trades.
Writing stories has always been a big part of my life. As a kid most of what I considered to be play was setting the stage for my toys, crafting a world and character backstories for them instead of actually using them. As a teen, I would spend most of my day writing with online friends through literature roleplay, using this as an escape from my problems. And as an adult, I completed my Bachelor in “Media, Information and Communication” (Bachelor of Arts degree, now called “Creative Business”) in 2018 and I’ve been a professional writer since 2020. I consider it a privilege that I get to make stuff up for a living .
When I’m not writing I like to stick my hands in other creative outlets, such as photography, painting, collage making, cosplay, and occasionally video editing. Other than that, I like going on long walks, consuming other media (and being so so normal about it), learning random facts, and thrift shopping.
You can buy some of my art and other things on Ko-Fi ,or just support me with a small donation!

Why Peculiar Planets?
I can hear you think: “what is a peculiar planet and why are there multiple of them?”
Good question! The name Peculiar Planets was created back when I was around 15 and wanted to, once again, change my twitter username. It doesn’t have a real meaning, but I guess it shows my love for space and alliterations. I liked the name so much that I changed all my social media handles to this name and even named my (now dead) blog after it. People recognise this name by now, so I decided to keep it and make it my brand.
